I stayed at their accommodation only for few months and I was charged half a rent for repairs that had to do with the mattress and the scale caused by the bad quality of water. I had to leave urgently and made a lot of efforts to clean. All the guidance for the mattress and scale was on YouTube but it was never explained in advance, so there was not enough time to clean. Althouth the reason of early termination of contract was serious I also had to pay an extra rent. The rooms in total look like jail rooms at a high price and have a bad air quality due to poor heating system. Garbage is right outside of the room. The fire alarm is always ringing for nothing. I was hired only one month before start, so I had to accept any accommodation. I changed two accommodations for a stay of 6 months. We enter later than the day we pay for and have also to leave earlier. I would never recommend DTU for short term postdoc contract or DTU Boligfonden for short stay.

One of the worst experiences of my life, genuinely.
Starting with the patronising attitude of the staff, who genuinely treat you like they think they are doing you a huge favour by doing their job. The boss/manager, a blond lady in her 40s will gaslight you into thinking you are wrong to claim something they are factually at fault for.
The dorms are expensive. Yes, they are in Denmark, but it is still expensive and rest assured the rent will be significantly increased every semester.
Communication. Be ready to fight on literally everything. You should be able to apply to every on-campus dorm, even if you have lower chances to get into the Danish ones. BDTU will have you think you dont, they will not facilitate it at all. I had to request no less than 3 times (3 separate emails) to receive the PDF form and manually write my dorm choices, but they kept "suggesting" it was better not to apply altogether and just use the online form. I know what I want to apply to, thank you very much, just help me instead of making it more difficult.
Deposits. Be ready to lose most of it if you cannot be present during the inspection. Take vids and pictures of everything as soon as you move in. You might end up feeling like you need to take legal action, and you probably will be somewhat successful if you do because they will 100% overcharge you.
Overall, I just wish this company disappeared or that DTU did something about their abusive treatment. Avoid them at all costs and search for accommodation literally anywhere else.

Really really really bad experience. They give the apartment not clean at all and they demand it to be cleaned , i mean literally clean it like hell. Consult a criminal investigator before you start cleaning. I let some some fingerprints on a cupboard wall which is not even a stain and they demanded 800 kronor for that. If you want to get looted, have a pleasant stay at bdtu.

I stayed at this place for 6 months, and it was the worst experience. As a tidy person, I cleaned everything thoroughly, yet they deducted huge amounts for cleaning. Additionally, the internet frequently disconnected. This accommodation was far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend it to others.

I stayed in their accommodation for two years. I am giving it two stars, for the location, because the studios were new and the maintenance team responded quickly to my requests. But apart from that it was not a good experience. First of all the rent is expensive for what it offers. There are four housing units in Lundtofte that don't have common areas or kitchens and it is really difficult socialising there especially during the long winters. What's more, the housing units with common areas pay the same rent with those that don't, even though the first ones have significant more utility expenses (kitchen equipment, lights etc). Also, during the spring and summer you see rats running around the outdoor area of the buildings. I understand that we live in a green and semi forested area and you might see things like that every now and then but apart from trimming the grass the company wasn't doing anything else to tackle the issue. Lastly, the company withheld money from my deposit as a reserved annual statement for the utilities that might be returned in one year, even though this practice was not mentioned anywhere, either in their website or contract.

I can't speak for everybody here but I myself had a good time and actually never had any issues with BDTU. No charges with the moving-out inspection either.
We were five who moved out of my kitchen and four had no charges on the moving-out report.

The pricing now isn't exactly "student friendly" so just be prepared to throw down some cash. Otherwise just sublet from PKS dorms or join some fb groups.

Sidenote: I thought at least reading the lease before you sign would be a given.

I find it so odd because you're putting a lot amount of money into something just to not care enough.

Just do a really thorough moving-in report yourself and do some good cleaning when you move out and you'll be fine.
