Would not use this service again. I have had a multiple horrible experiences with the rental company/landlord that they set me up with. Additionally, the agent at Charlie's Roof overlooked a clause in my contract that means I may have to repair all appliances in the apartment myself, and I now have to take a case to the Tenant's Board while I have something non-functional in the apartment.

- Lack of clear communication in the early stages after filling out a questionnaire and having to re-state some of the things with the personal agent assigned to us afterwards. There was never a clear-common ground I would say where both parties had access to what has already been agreed making some of the information exchanged between the two parties somewhat awkward and clunky. Speaking of emails..

- Zero communication with the customers outside the typical email correspondence which in my book is not sufficient enough to understand the client's needs and for whom the house you're looking for is intended. A simple call or video could have increased the agent's knowledge about the perspective clients.

- Large downtime of receiving further offers once the agent knew we had our eyes on something we were interested...which for whatever reason could still fail for all we cared.

- Put it simply, our "dream house" was not secured and lost the opportunity to rent it despite the urgency of the situation we, as clients had to point out to the agent. This is simply the core functionality/service Charlie's Roof is supposed to provide and well...it failed to do so in our case.

- Some of the offers we were receiving were not double-checked. Meaning we expressed interest for an offer that was sent by our agent only to find out that the apartment had been rented. Furthermore, this also means that perhaps most the of the offers we were receiving and did not check could have been rented out.

Most importantly, the requirement of asking the client to up their budget to 11.000 dkk in order to "secure" finding a place is questionable... After cutting our cooperation with Charlie's roof, we found our current place for a significantly lesser amount than even 10.000 dkk within two days after the end of the cooperation with Charlie's Roof. This happened for free using a website for apartments. So...I guess this means your hard-earned cash (quote from website) is being used to make the agent's life/work a lot easier when looking for a place for you.

Finally, I cannot recommend this agency for expats living in Denmark and know a thing about looking for a place in Copenhagen. We proceeded to book Charlie's Roof to ensure we had a roof over our head but in the end it really made more harm than good. We had better chances looking on our own and that is what I encourage you to do.

For people arriving in Denmark, yes Charlie's Roof might be able to help you since it can be overwhelming when you do not know anything about the country, but you have to understand you are simply providing "easy work" with the guarantees / requirements they are asking instead of adjusting to the client's needs (you) , at least budget wise.

I paid 300 DKK to get access to a list that is not updated they keep there apartments already rented out. Weekly they are adding like one more apartment, I asked for a refund but they denied my request! I would not recommand it! Waste of money!
