Actually this sculpture is in front of the city's casino, but fortunately there is no sign of the casine over the sculpture, only the name of the place. So, you can sit and take a memory photo with the sculpture of the tale teller.

Wow, ein lebensgroßer H.C. Anderson sitzt hier auf einer Bank und man möchte sich zu ihm setzen. Ob er wohl auch eines seiner zahlreichen Märchen erzählt?! In Odense gibt es 15 Märchenskulpturen die man in einer Art Schnitzeljagd entdecken kann. Seht euch meine weiteren Rezessionen an, dann zeige ich sie euch. 😉

Jens Galschiot creó esta escultura del famoso escritor que por cierto invita a sentarse a su lado y sacarse una foto con él. En realidad es un grupo escultórico pues los pilares en la entrada del casino forman parte y recrean algunos de sus cuentos como La sirenita, Hans el torpe y El soldadito de plomo. Y una curiosidad, hay un banco de madera entre dos de los pilares que tiene pies como soporte. El grupo es muy bonito y luce estupendamente.

I walk by this statue on my way to work and it's always a joy to see Andersen sitting casually on his bench, with his clothes draped nicely around him. The columns next to him, flanking the door to Comwell, depict some of Andersen's fairy tales and are wonderful to look at as well
