From the moment we drove up to these historic buildings and gardens we knew we made the right choice in booking two nights. Greeted by Vibeke we felt welcome in her home and under her care.||Clean aesthetics, and immaculate housekeeping, the balance between old and new was fantastic. Sharing bathrooms sounds scary but we never had to wait and with so few rooms they were always tidy.||Breakfast of homemade rolls & jams, hard boiled eggs and for those who desired, cheeses and meats, was delicious! Fruit picked from the backyard was available and we had a fresh pot of coffee just for ourselves, with steamed milk! ||Treat your family to a special stay in a magical place.

Det er et skønt sted, som får min bedste anbefaling. Tæt på oplevelser på Stevns, bl.a. oplevelsescenter om Stevns klint - UNESCO verdensarv.
Vibeke er en god værtinde i den gamle præstegård, som er smukt restaureret med omsorg for historien. Dejlig morgenmad, stort pænt og rent værelse.

Set in an old rectory complex, this was a gorgeous place to stay! Vibeke is a gracious host who goes to great lengths to make your stay personal and enjoyable. The rooms are beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. I loved the personal touches like the original artwork on the walls, the designer furniture and the care taken with the details of the decor. I had the best sleep in ages! (Very comfortable beds.)||||Even though the weather was a bit chilly during our stay we were enticed outdoors to see the beautiful grounds and surrounding buildings. Our host was extremely helpful, she made recommendations for options for dinner and arranged for a taxi to pick us up. ||||This is a B&B style accommodation and Vibreke made us the most delicious breakfast. It featured a tradition Danish olbrod (delicious!), coffee, juice, soft boiled eggs, cold meats, cheese, homemade breads and jams. ||||This place is a hidden gem. We would love to come back and stay for longer. Just wonderful!

We stayed here for our wedding and everything was perfect. Our host Vibeke and her husband couldn’t do enough to make our day special. Breakfast was excellent and the bedroom facilities were top class. Very authentic and stylish hotel with classic danish features. Very quiet area for those looking for some tranquility. Thoroughly recommended. Vibeke treated us like family and made our stay very special and memorable. Thank you to Vibeke for hosting us!

We (two couples from the U.S,) stayed at Vemmetofte Praestegaard on our bicycle tour through Denmark. We were very pleased with every aspect of our visit. Our rooms were beautifully decorated and very large. Food was fantastic with an emphasis on "farm to table". We really enjoyed walking through the historic grounds with very nice fruit and flower gardens. Vibeke was kind, helpful and accommodating. Our stay was one of the high points of our trip to Denmark and we would recommend Vemmetofte Praestegaard to anyone passing through the area!

Særligt fint sted. Smagfuld indretning i helt unikke omgivelser. Den tilstødende og meget store have prydes med blomster, frugttræer og lavendler. Helt utroligt!||Man får på en eller anden måde fornemmelsen af at dette er et personligt ophold på den rigtig gode måde.||Vibeke - vores værtinde - er fantastisk og meget opmærksom.||Eneste ting vi savnede var mælk til kaffemaskinen i opholdsstuen.

Although this is a B&B, you feel like you are staying at a castle. The inn is located in the ||castle's park like grounds directly across the the castle and the moat surrounding it. It is ||part of one of the castle's historic out buildings with fireplaces, high ceilings, period details and wood floors. The inn is spotlessly clean with out the carpets and clutter of many such places. Our room was quite large with 3 big windows facing the garden. The ||furnishings were a nice mix of antique and contemporary. The bathroom was huge which||was a nice change from other Danish historic hotels. It had both a full size tub and a separate shower plus a bidet. The breakfast was simple but delicious with homemade||bread and excellent cheeses. The host Vibeke was as charming as the setting was ||beatiful. The only drawback was limited dining options in the immediate area (a small||village) but if you drive a little ways or even better, bring a picnic, you can't go wrong||at Vemmetofte Praestegaard.

This is so much more than a B&B. The accommodation in the old vicary at the Vemmetofte Mansion is an ideal escape to the Danish countryside. The rooms are spacious and with love and attention in every detail. The staff makes you feel at home in the warm and cosy surroundings with no interruptions and a tranquillity, that is all too rare.||||Even on my visit in rainy and windy October, this place was charming. The park, the forest and the beach invites you to long walks and afterthought. An ideal place for creative processes. ||||I was there on business, but I will definitely return for a romantic getaway. Vemmetofte Præstegård is already one of my favourites among the hundreds of hotels I have visited over time
