I cannot express how angry and disappointed I am with my Villa Plus experience. I booked to stay in Villa Serenity (in Antibes, South of France) with my husband and 2 year old. We returned over a month ago (approx. 5 weeks) and upon our return we had an email from Villa Plus saying…”Thanks for your stay, here is a voucher off your next Villa Plus trip”. ‘Great’, I thought, I wouldn’t be going back to ‘Villa Serenity’ but I had no issues with Villa Plus….yet! |A few days ago, we noticed £300 was taken from our account by Villa Plus….odd as it had been over a month since we got back from our holiday and I hadn’t had any negative feedback or any other communication apart from my ‘money off your next trip’ email. I decided to chase this up and see why it had been taken. I receive an email a few days later from ‘Keith’ at Villa Plus saying that we had left the Villa in a ‘state’ and had apparently ripped off the door to the tumble dryer and they needed to replace it. Firstly, this did NOT happen and secondly, my anger was building because ‘Villa Serenity’ was so awful that I couldn’t believe they had the cheek to say we had left it in a state! Unbelievable. I would never be so disrespectful to someone’s property or possessions, and if we had broken the tumble dryer I would have told them… by the way Keith, we didn’t even use the Tumble dryer and I would be extremely grateful if you could prove that we broke it… and sending a photo of a broken tumble dryer 5 weeks after we left the villa is NOT proof. I’m also pretty sure that it’s your company policy and probably a legal requirement to let someone know why you are retaining part of their deposit before you just take it out of their account. ||Anyway, in case you didn’t read all of the above, here is a synopsis of how awful our villa was……||I will now provide a full list of the issues I had with our Villa: ||1. The place was FILTHY; on arrival there was a ball of hair, dirt and an old earring on the terrace when we opened the back door (not something I want my toddler finding thanks!). Obviously the cleaner had swept but not taken away the Rubbish……This is VERY ironic considering one of the rules of the Villa is that you must take all your rubbish home with you on departure. Have you EVER been on a holiday where you have to take your rubbish to the local dump before you leave? We spend the last day of our holiday driving 20 minutes to a local tip. An hour round trip with a 2 year old whilst we were on holiday….great, very relaxing and enjoyable…I don’t think! Also..if you didn’t have a car, how where you meant to do this? Hire a Taxi to take you to a dump! WHEN YOU”RE MEANT TO BE ON HOLIDAY!!….and not a cheap holiday by the way….£2,000 for the week. |2. The fridge shelves were broken and fell out when we opened the fridge. |3. The beds had no mattress protectors and the sheets had STAINS. They were also very bobbly and rough. |4. We had to buy our own Toilet Roll and Soap. I understand we are in a self catered villa, but for £2,000 a week I expect the bare essentials… Toilet paper please!! |5. The kitchen had stains all over it, food stains on the cupboard, up the walls..etc. |6. There were nettles and overgrown thorns all around the pool area (this was advertised as a ‘family friendly’ villa) |7. BROKEN CHAIR in the driveway…nice to be greeted with on arrival at your £2,000 a week villa. |8. Pool was filthy! Half way through the week, I contacted Villa Plus to make them aware of the state of the pool. It had been getting dirtier and I was concerned that the filter or cleaning system was broken. Someone arrived to take a look and said that we shouldn’t have been wearing sun cream in the pool, it was making it dirtier. That’s great advise isn’t it…..don’t wear suncream in 26 degree heat in the pool. Needless to say, the pool continued to get dirtier over the course of the remaining days. |9. No air-con…a few old fans. Maybe I should have looked this up before I booked it, but I assumed for £2,000 a week it would have air-con in the bedrooms at least. ||I’m not usually one for reviews, but I am so mad and disappointed that I can’t refrain. Villa Plus RUINED our holiday this year… which is a luxury that most families save up for for a long time. I can assure you , that I will not be booking with you ever again and I will go out of my way to make sure all my friends and family are warned too! ||Villa Plus… you have ONE job. Provide me with a nice Villa for my annual holiday….clearly it’s too much of an ask for you. AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

We holidayed in Villa Matira in Playa Blanca and booked a villa that stated it came with air conditioning. The air conditioning did not work for the first 4 days and their only option rather than fix it on the Saturday was to give us a fan! The resort rep was less than helpful and most days unavailable. We also had a cockroach infestation with several very large cockroaches inside the villa every night as well as lots of baby cockroaches in the rooms. We sealed every toilet, every sink with a plug and nothing helped. Their solution was to give us a can of spray and told us to to spray the drains around the outside of the villa every evening. This did not help. I barely slept as a result. The pool on arrival and for most the stay was green around the edges, we were told it gets green but is cleaned but it was green on our arrival so clearly not been cleaned. The noise that came from the laundry area outside was so loud we thought it was coming from the resort then Realised it was coming from our laundry area and sounded like a donkey with a microphone . We sent a recording of this as well as it went on all morning periodically and other times through out the day! . All in all our holiday was less than satisfactory and the lack of air conditioning ruined our stay. The villa did not have the air con working that was advertised. Their offer of a £200 pound voucher was rejected. We will be taking this matter further and will never use Villa plus again. We holiday every year in a villa and have never before had the misfortune of using this company. Their representative that called me regarding the complaint was nothing short of incompetent and even called the villa the incorrect name so clearly hadn’t even taken the time to read the complaint properly. They clearly just get some guy to call with a tick list and it’s extremely poor. Avoid Villa Matira and most importantly do not book with Villa Plus! They are dishonest and the service both in resort and after is at best poor.

Woeful customer service. Booked a villa with villa plus who deemed it appropriate to rent me a villa right next to a dog day centre with 20 odd dogs running loose night and day barking and howling. Called them up and very little interest taken in resolving, simply batting away as not their problem. You can’t have this attitude when people book a holiday through you, issues need to be dealt with in a professional customer focussed way. As a result would never book a holiday with them again.

Villa Plus is one of the worst companies I’ve ever had the misfortune to come across. Terrible (lying) customer service. The villa was nothing like the advertisement and it truly was a health hazard. Dried-in body fluids on most of the soft furnishings. Spent four hours cleaning (at own expense) before we could even consider staying. And even then our holiday was ruined. Oh and villa was beside a construction site that the company didn’t tell us about. Please avoid.

We stayed at Villa Themis in Coral Bay, Cyprus from 02/08/2023 to 09/08/2023.||Unfortunately we found the villa very disappointing with a number of issues as follows.||On arrival we found the kitchen tap was left running on full.||The double bed was not in the master bedroom as shown in the photographs on the website.||Kitchen facilities such as crockery, glasses etc. were very poor. The villa is meant for 6 people but there wasn't a set of 6 of anything. For example there were 3 teaspoons and a variety of mis-matched cutlery and crockery.||The quality of the towels was extremely poor with some being stained and having holes in them.||The ensuite bathroom for the room with the double bed had clearly not been cleaned as there was the remains of a bar of soap in the shower and hairs, clearly from the previous occupiers, in the plug hole. |Also the shower curtain was completely inadequate as it allowed water to run directly onto the bathroom floor completely flooding the bathroom whenever anyone showered. |The bathmat, when used for the first time, was filthy indicating the floor hadn't been cleaned.|The drains in the bathroom gave off a strong smell of sewage rendering the bathroom unusable for most of the day.||The general cleanliness and maintenance of the villa was appalling. A bikini, presumably from the previous occupier, was still on the balcony. This balcony had clearly not been touched by the cleaners as it was full of dirt and bird droppings.||The mirror in one of the bedrooms was full of marks which came off quite easily when rubbed. The window ledges and many of the other surfaces were full of dust which was obviously a lot more than a week's worth of dust. ||The outside area had a large amount of litter in the bushes and two of the downstairs exterior lights were not working. The umbrellas and sunbeds were full of cobwebs and dirt and were very tired looking. ||The outlet for one of the air conditioning units dripped directly onto the patio area and had clearly not been cleaned for a long time as there was a lot of dirt in this area.||On Thursday 03/08/2023 we contacted the villa plus number given in the villa and spoke to Paula. She came the same day and she said she would contact the owner and the cleaning company.||The cleaners didn't arrive until Friday 04/08/2023 just as we were leaving for a trip out. When we arrived back we were shocked to find that the bed in one of the bedrooms had been pulled out and just left in the middle of the room.|The mirror stains and the dust on the window ledges was still there.|The remains of the bar of soap from the previous occupiers was still in the same place.||Once again it looked as if not even the bare minimum had been done.||This is the first time we have booked with Villa Plus and have been left very disappointed with the experience.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Villa Plus are awful, villa Almar Lanzarote current pictures on website are are not current. Villa is shabby in desperate need of maintenance. It was infested with Ants and cocaroaches, we couldn't cook or eat in the villa it was so bad. We asked to move and were refused. The pool floor was coming away and all the paint and sealant floating in pool, Villa Plus say that is acceptable for kids to swim in. The villa is dirty and far bellow standards. Do not book with Villa Plus.

Villa Themis Coral Bay -avoid ! We arrived after midnight yesterday to find a filthy, disgusting villa. Ants were all over the kitchen work surfaces, over flowing bin on the driveway. As mentioned by a previous guest the master bedroom is not as photograph now with twin beds and not double. Revolting shower in the bedroom with the double bed and don’t get me started on the state of the toilet brush. There is not a single item to clean the Villa apart from a mop and bucket (pretty disgusting) ! We are now having to head to the supermarket to purchase everything to try and clean this revolting dump ! We have looked forward to this holiday for nearly a year and have not travelled with Villa Plus before, but it will certainly be the last time we book through them. Such a disappointment, a really sad start to an expensive holiday. We deserved so much better. Please avoid at all costs !

Villa Lloreta majorca ||||Absolutely awful experience once we’d arrived. ||Moved out within 12 hours it was not fit to stay in||Tripped due to uneven surface next to pool (on arrival) ||Pool tiles broken sitting at the bottom of the pool. ||Pool furniture mouldy ||Filthy kitchen items and wall plugs||Filthy table cloths in kitchen and dining room ||Massive Leak in the kitchen pantry/crockery cupboard ||Old Crumbs on sofas ||Hairs in the beds 🤢||Dirty floors ||Showers mouldy and dirty ||Shower filled up in 30 secs blocked drains ||Plugs hanging off the wall||Old food and black hairs in the freezer. ||No thank you! ||This is not what I call a holiday location. It’s a renovation!! ||Booked into a 1 bed apartment. At a huge cost. ||Villa was removed from website strangely enough
